'Ardor' came about primarily out of my head, with a little reference to shots of a commissioned horse I had for working out the form correctly. I wanted to convey the energy and exuberance of an athletic horse using sweeping brushstrokes and gestural marks, the piece has warm pinkish brown undertones to it.
